Kenneth Whitworth

Mr. Kenneth Wayne Whitworth, age 75 of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Whitworth will be conducted on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Kenton chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Barry Capps officiating. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Kenton, Tennessee.

He was born July 5, 1946 in Kenton, Tennessee; the son of the late Grady Orbin Whitworth and Frances Lucille Buchanan Whitworth. He was retired from Grand Trunk Western Railroad as a brakeman.  He was a member of Laneview Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn Whitworth, two children, Wendy Lynn (Mitchell) Valenti, and Kenneth Whitworth; grandchildren, Morgan Whitworth, Jacob Whitworth, Hannah Whitworth, Nicole (Alex) Perez, Nicholas Valenti, Nathan Valenti; great-grandchild, Camilla Valenti; brother, Scotty Whitworth and sisters, Lisa (Van) Williams and Sandra R. Whitworth.  In additition to his parents, he is preceeded in death by two brothers, James “Sonny” Whitworth, and Waymon Whitworth.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 in the Kenton Chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home.  Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Kenneth Wayne Whitworth.
