Katie Mae White

Mrs. Katie Mae White, age 97 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at ACH McNairy County Healthcare. Funeral services for Mrs. White will be conducted on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 2PM in the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Woods, and Asst. Rev. Randy Latch officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery, in Bradford, TN. 

She was born December 20, 1926, in Spring Creek, TN; the daughter of the late Elvis Alonzo & Amanda Elizabeth (Britt) McCormick. Katie was a homemaker, after retiring from the Liberty Pajama Factory and was a member of Dyer First Baptist Church. 

She is survived by daughter, Glenda Woods (Rev. Jerry); grandson, Jeremy Woods (Mamie); and four great-grandchildren, Dr. Jeffrey Woods (Rachel), Savannah Woods, Isabella Woods, and Adeline Woods. Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Tyree White; and eleven siblings. 

Visitation will be on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 12PM until time of service. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Katie Mae White.
