June Johnson

Mrs. Geneva June Johnson, age 86 of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Thursday, February 6, 2020, at Jackson Madison County Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Johnson will be conducted on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Rutherford chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Andy Rice officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, in Kenton.

She was born June 26, 1933 in Bradford, TN; the daughter of the late Calvin & Bessie Barker Ward.  She was a Pharmacy Tech. at Hester Drug Co. before retiring.

She is survived by three children, Deborah Ruth Newmon, Beverly Dawn Garner (David), Thomas Lyndale Johnson; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Gordon “Sonny” Johnson; son, Brian Ward Johnson; and her parents.

The family will receive friends from 12:00pm – 2:00pm on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the Rutherford chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Geneva June Johnson.
