Jr Murphy

Mr. JR “Jim” Murphy, age 78 of Bradford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at home. Memorial services for Mr. Murphy will be conducted on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Walnut Grove United Methodist Church with Bro. Allen Rainey officiating. Karnes & Son Funeral Home overseeing cremation arrangements.

He was born August 5, 1942 in E Reno, OK; the son of the late Jimmy & Edith Boshears Murphy. He worked in the parts department at Milan Express before retiring and attending Walnut Grove United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Murphy; three children, Michael Murphy of El Reno, OK, Laura Albea and Laina Murphy of Bradford, TN; two step children, Robin Stark of Moore, Ok, Ryan Bohner of Hominy, OK; sister, JoAnn Krouse of El Reno, OK; nine grandchildren, Megan Stark, Jackilann Street, Blake Bohner, River Street, Hayden Stark, Aaliyah Albea, Phenix Street, Corine Jones, Nicholas Stark; and three great grandchildren, Ella & Kash Knight, and William Bohner.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until service time at Walnut Grove United Methodist Church. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. JR “Jim” Murphy.
