Joyce Roberts

Mrs. Joyce Priscilla Dunivan Roberts, age 83, of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on October 7, 2014, at the Dyer Nursing Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Roberts will be conducted on Saturday, October 11, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Dyer First Assembly of God Church. Bro. Mark Kirkpatrick and Bro Terry Bailey will assist the children with the service celebrating their mother’s well lived life. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery of Dyer, Tennessee. Mrs. Roberts was born August 6, 1931, in Senath, Missouri; the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William O. and Eunice Parker Dunivan. Mrs. Roberts attended Business College in Memphis and married James Eugene Roberts, who survives her, on August 19, 1950. She became a homemaker and faithfully served alongside her husband in ministry for fifty years with a special gift of love for children’s ministry. Mrs. Roberts is also survived by four sons, David (Nancy) Roberts of Jackson, Dan (Karen) Roberts of Knoxville, Ken (Missy) Roberts of Maple Grove MN, Carl (Theresa) Roberts of Enid, OK; three daughters, Debra (Chet) Fahrmeier of Parma, OH, Donna (John) Saggio of Strongsville, OH, Tammy (Chuck) Wiggins of Dyer; honorary daughter, Carolyn Roberts of Monet, MO; and honorary son, William G. McFarland of Dyer; 15 grandchildren, Colin (Elisa) Roberts, Jenna Clare (Jeremy) Allen, Abbie Caitlyn Roberts, Shane (Janelle) Roberts, Ross Roberts, Brianne Fahrmeier, Brent Fahrmeier, Nicole Roberts, Britton (Amanda) Roberts, Brandon Roberts, Emily (Jason) Case, Jonathan (Jennee) Roberts, Angela Saggio, Nathan Saggio, Tristan Wilbanks; 8 great-grandchildren, Dunnivan James and Joey Kate Roberts, William Allen, Ezra and Jones Roberts, Mackenzie Joy, Logan, and Hannah Ann Case; siblings, Donna Hutchison (Bill) McNair, Jirden (Laurie) Dunivan, Lindell (Ruth) Dunivan, and Faye (Richard) Dunivan Rice; sisters-in-law, Mona Anglin, Jane Dunivan, and Betty (Dale) Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Edward Dunivan. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, October 10, at the First Assembly of God Church in Dyer.
