Johnny Marshall Carson

Johnny Marshall Carson, age 83 of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Monday, December 13, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Memphis East. Funeral services for Mr. Carson will be conducted on Monday, December 20, 2021, at 1:00 pm in the Rutherford chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Jernigan officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

He was born November 9, 1938, in Kenton, TN; the son of the late Robert Leonard & Mildred Perry Carson. He retired from the Federal Defense Depot as a supervisor over mechanic works with heating & air conditioning. He attended and was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church, and loved to fish, travel, watch western movies, and enjoyed listening to gospel quartets.

He is survived by loving wife, Kathleen Carson; two daughters, Melissa Copp (Peter) of Yorktown, VA and Jessica Carson of Jacksonville, FL; siblings, James Carson, Diane Belote, Norma Jean Workman, Joe Carson, Billy Carson; and three grandchildren, Jack Copp, Brooks Copp, and Louisa Copp.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Monday, December 20, 2021, at the Rutherford chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Johnny Marshall Carson.
