He was born on October 3, 1967 in Milan, Tennessee to Jimmy Dale Battle and Sheila Hayes Watson.
Johnny was preceded in death by his father; and stepfather, John L. Watson, Jr.
He is survived by his mother, Sheila Hayes Watson of Douglasville, Georgia; two sons, Harley Battle (Joanna) of Rutherford, and Tyler Battle (Veronica) of Dyer; sister, Donna Buescher of Douglasville, Georgia; and one grandchild, Rebekah Battle.
