John Willie Maughan

Mr. John Willie Maughan, age 85 of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Saturday, September 5, 2020, at The Waters in Union City. Funeral services for Mr. Maugham will be conducted on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 11:00 am in the Kenton chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Union Grove Cemetery.

He was born March 16, 1935 in Senatobia, MS; the son of the late V.C. & Ina Boling Maughan. He was a tire builder at Goodyear before retiring, and member of Laneview Baptist Church in Kenton.

He is survived by two daughters, Michelle Cagle (Clyde), Vickie Hill (Wesley); siblings, Annie Bramble, Pee Wee Maughan, Clyde Maughan; two grandchildren, Scott Hill, Rebecca Shaw; four great grandchildren, Hayes Hill, Anthony Otto, Jonathan Otto, and Donald Shaw Jr.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Donnie Maughan; son, Calvin Maughan; and brother, Darryl Maughan.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at the Kenton chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. John Willie Maughan.
