John Hickman

Mr. John William Hickman, age 83, of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Gibson General Hospital. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 4, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Rutherford. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 3, 2013, from 2-5 p.m. in the Chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Rutherford. Bro. Garrett Sweeney will officiate. Burial will follow in Salem Methodist Church Cemetery. Mr. Hickman was born January 10, 1930, to the late William Leonard "Willie" and Lois Norman Hickman. Mr. Hickman was a farmer and a Constable for Gibson County. He also ran the Hickman Brother's General Store in the GoodLuck Community. Mr. Hickman was a Methodist. Mr. Hickman is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Sanders of Nashville and Susie Walker of Greenfield; Sister-in-Law, Shirley Hickman of Rutherford; three nieces, Susan Kellough, Barbara Tatangelo and Cindy Greer; and four nephews, James Walker, Mark Sanders, Chris Walker, and Clint Hickman. Mr. Hickman was preceded in death by his parents, William Leonard and Lois Norman Hickman; his twin brother, James Clinton "J.C." Hickman and a brother, Roy Allen Hickman.
