John Baker

John Baker, age 86, passed away from this life on January 24, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital of Union City. Funeral services for Mr. Baker will be conducted on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Rutherford with Bro. Marlon Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in New Salem Cemetery in Mason Hall Tn. Mr. Baker is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Quita Baker, three sisters Cassie Biggs and husband Jerry, Mary Clark, and Shirley Frye and husband Bart, a special brother- in- law Derry Gray, and sister- in- law Joyce Gray, along with nieces and nephews, he was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Sadie Baker, two sisters Vonell Worrell and Dorothy Kemp. Mr. Baker served in the United States Air Force and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Memphis State University, Mr. Baker retired from 50 years in the Building Materials Business. The family will receive friends from 1 – 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 28, 2018 in the chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Rutherford.
