John Argo

Mr. John Albert Argo, age 73 of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Friday, July 19, 2013, at his home. Funeral services for Mr. Argo will be conducted on Sunday, July 21, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Roger Utter officiating. Interment will follow in Harmony Cemetery of Idlewild. He was born January 2, 1940, in Carroll County, Tennessee; the son of the late Martin and Vadie Arnold Argo. He retired from Goodyear as an Insurance and Pension Representative. Mr. Argo served his country with the US Marines. He is survived by his wife, Jane Argo; a daughter, Dana Gravette and spouse, Gene; a son, Doug Argo and spouse, Andrea; six grandchildren, Sara-Taylor Argo Anderson and spouse, Jake; Lynn Parker, Amy-Leigh Argo, John Thomas Parker, Bishop Argo and Eli Argo; one great-grandchild, Carter Anderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Evora Mallard and Bobbie Sue Dunlap; brothers, Leamon Argo, J.C. Argo, and Martin “Red” Argo, Jr. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, July 20. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of John Albert Argo.
