Joe Allen Tidwell

Joe Allen Tidwell, age 82 of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Saint Francis Hospital - Bartlett. Graveside services for Mr. Tidwell will be conducted on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 2PM at Rutherford Cemetery with Bro. John Coleman officiating. Interment will immediately follow.

He was born July 4, 1941, in Finley, TN; the son of the late J.T. & Virginia Tidwell. He worked as a Certified Public Account and was a member of New Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Mr. Tidwell is survived by his beloved wife, Ann Tidwell; children, David & Melissa Tidwell of Rutherford, Chris & Melynda Tidwell of Union City, Phyllis & John Means of Jackson, Johnny Patterson of Rutherford; brother, Gearld Tidwell of Newbern; grandchildren, Lisha Pickard (Brian), Ashley Childs (Seth), Lindsey Rayborn (RJ), Abbye Edwards (Mitch), Brady Tidwell (Blair), Kaleb Tidwell (Katie); and nine great-grandchildren, Farrah, Adam, Britley, Lucas, Brodie, Reese, Tripp, Adley Jo, and Tucker.

Pallbearers are Kaleb & Brady Tidwell, Terry Jones, Steve Clark, Johnny Patterson, Mitch Edwards, Brian Pickard, Seth Childs, and RJ Rayborn. Honorary pallbearers are the Deacons of New Bethlehem Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 10AM-1:30PM on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, in the chapel of New Bethlehem Baptist Church. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Joe Allen Tidwell.
