Jimmy Purvis

Mr. Jimmy Lee Purvis, age 73, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, passed away from this life on May 1, 2014, at Genesis Health Care in Trenton. Funeral services for Mr. Purvis will be conducted on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Dyer with Bro. Jackie Goad officiating. Interment will follow in Yorkville Cemetery of Yorkville. Mr. Purvis was born February 18, 1941, in Carroll County, Tennessee; the son of the late Bernie and Sussie Brown Purvis. He retired as a sales clerk from Napa Auto Part. He served his country with the US Military. Mr. Jim Purvis is survived by his spouse, Dorothy Purvis; daughters, Vivian Dudley and Michelle Pounds; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and brother Leon Purvis. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, May 2. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Jimmy Lee Purvis.
