Jimmy Merrell

Mr. Jimmy Ray Merrell, age 68, of Bradford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on September 26, 2013, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Merrell will be conducted on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Liberty Apostolic Church in Dresden, Tennessee with Pastor Ted Wade officiating. Interment will follow in Bradford City Cemetery of Bradford, Tennessee. Mr. Merrell was born November 18, 1944, in Dyer, Tennessee; the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Allie and Lolaw Mai Poynor Merrell. He had retired from work at Procter and Gamble. Mr. Jimmy Merrell is survived by his daughter, Kim Warf; his son, Brandon Merrell; his sister, Barbara Boucher; four grandchildren and one step-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jimmy Ray Merrell, Jr. and sister, Effie Reynolds. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2013, in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Dyer.
