Jerry Glen Petty Sr.

Mr. Jerry Glen Petty Sr., age 77 of Chapman, Kansas, formerly of Trenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Chapman Valley Manor. Funeral services for Mr. Petty will be conducted on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 5PM in the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with his son, Glen Petty Jr. speaking. Interment will follow in Davidson’s Chapel Cemetery in Trenton. 

He was born April 2, 1947, in Trenton, TN; the son of the late David R. & Hazel Mae (Carroll) Petty. He retired from Ecko as a lead set-up operator and was an avid fisherman. He attended Davidson’s Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a Freemason. 

Mr. Petty is survived by son, Jerry Glen (Leanette) Petty Jr.; siblings, Joy Morris, Mike (Sandra) Petty, W.C. (Ola Mae) Petty; two grandchildren, Jacob Petty, Kristin Petty; and two great-grandchildren, Jace Petty, and Chloe Petty. He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Lynn Petty; and brother-in-law, William Morris. 

The family will receive friends from 3PM – 5PM on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Jerry Glen Petty Sr.
