Jerry Dycus

Jerry Von Dycus , age 63 of Yorkville, Tennessee, passed away from this life on February 2, 2016, at his home. Funeral services for Mr. Dycus will be conducted on February 5, 2016 at 6:30pm in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Dyer. He was born July 23, 1952 in Stockton, CA, the son of De Von and Carolyn Ann Dycus . He worked for many law enforcement agencies to include Gibson County Sheriff’s Dept., Chief of Police of Bradford, Weakley Co. Sheriff’s Dept., Weakley and Obion Co. Drug Task Force., then Assistant Chief with the City of Dyer. He was also a self-employed Private Investigator, and worked as a Commercial Electrician for 10 years. He served his country with the US Navy. He is survived by his wife Sally Ann Dycus;one sister Delinda Dycus; three children, Leslie Dycus Cash, Sherry Dycus King, Carrie Dycus Johnson; and six grandchildren John Zackary Dodd, Chelsey Brooke Dodd, Luke Tyler King, Taylor Ashley Johnson, Allie Nicole Johnson, and Tristan Gage Johnson. He was preceded in death by his Brother, Jimmy Devin Dycus. The family will receive friends from 5-6:30pm on February 5, 2016 at Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Dyer.
