Jerry Abbott

Jerry Thomas Abbott, age 77 of Bradford, TN, passed away Wednesday, April 10, at his home after a recent bout with cancer. He was a member of the Bradford 1st United Methodist Church and a Navy veteran. Jerry was an independent truck driver and a 50 year Mason. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Lillian Abbott, brothers Charles and Harry, sister Nancy, first wife Dalores Ann, daughter Sharee, son-in-law Stanley Hedges, and great-grandson, Braxton Rich. He is survived by his wife Anderia, daughters, Susan (Mike) Fitzgerald, Sandy Hedges, Sally (Tim) Quick, step-daughter Kathy (Evan) Vogl, step-son Jim (Kristi) Hardin, grandchildren Dylan, Jeremy (Karen), and Jordan Hedges, Michael (Priscilla), Scott (Angel), and Morgan Fitzgerald, Rachel (Aaron) Rich, Rebecca (Justin) Greer, Katlyn and Wyatt Vogl, and 5 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, April 11 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Rutherford, Tennessee. The funeral will be held on Friday, April 12 at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Bob Rose of Bradford 1st United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Bradford Cemetery.
