Jaxon Brandt Jones, age 21 of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Saturday, April 2, 2022. Funeral services for Jaxon will be conducted on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at 1:00pm in the chapel of Kenton First Baptist Church with Bro. Brian Robinson and Bro. Shawn Allred officiating. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery, in Kenton.
Jaxon was born September 15, 2000, in Union City, TN; the son of Greg & Kim Wheatley Jones. Jaxon worked at ColorCoat, Inc. as a painter, and was a member of Kenton First Baptist Church. He had a contagious personality and a never-ending smile that is sure to be lighting up heaven right now. His heart was bigger than most people would have ever known. He loved God. He talked often about how much he loved his family. He talked about how Nana and Kimmie taught him the bible, and he could quote you Genesis to Revelations. He thought in another life he was a cowboy, and he wore Uncle Stacy's cowboy hat religiously. He wanted world peace and he wanted everyone to just love the next person. Jaxon always had the right words to say, and when he didn’t, he would say them anyway which made for a good laugh most times.
Jaxon was full of life. His smile was infectious, and his laugh could cure any sickness. He touched so many lives. He had a beautiful personality; he was witty and comical. He made life seem easier, he made life fun and worth living. He loved animals and had a strange obsession with Frank Sinatra. His favorite song was Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd. He really was a simple man though. He was content with his simple life as well. He said many times how much beauty God had provided him in life from family, friends, animals, music, and nature. He really thought he was cool because both of his grandmas were named Janice, seriously! He will be missed by so many people that words cannot begin to describe it.
He is survived by his parents, Greg & Kim Jones; siblings, Ben Jones (Madison Ellis), Jordan Gardner (Dillion) and their son, Cash, J.P. Jones (Carly Bramlett); grandparents, Danny & Janice Jones, Tommy & Janice Wheatley; uncles, Stacey Wheatley, Sonny Yarbrough (Nancy Jo); and aunt, Jennifer Hudson (Mark).
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm – 8:00pm on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at Kenton First Baptist Church. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Jaxon Brandt Jones.
