Janice Sharp

Janice Thornton Sharp, age 75 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Wednesday, February 3, 2021.  Funeral services for Mrs. Sharp will be conducted on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 3:00 pm in the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Kirkpatrick officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

She was born November 12, 1945 in Dyer, TN; the daughter of the late John Howard & Willie Dee Oliver Thornton.  She worked as a factory worker at Wiscon Motors, then went into the healthcare profession as a private sitter.  Janice was a member of the First Assembly of God in Dyer.

She is survived by son, Bryan Sharp and wife, Gail; brother, Wilburn Thornton and wife, Shirley; two grandchildren, Kesha Davis and Erin Sharp; and four great grandchildren, Chance & Kameron Davis, and Jacoby & Jaylynn Rohden. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John Wade Thornton; sister, Virginia Cunningham; and daughter, Candy Davis.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Janice Thornton Sharp.
