James Wilson

Mr. James Robert Wilson, age 88, of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on April 23, 2012, at his home in Kenton. Funeral services for Mr. Wilson will be conducted on Friday, April 27, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Kenton with Dr. Brian Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery of Kenton. Mr. Wilson was born December 17, 1923 in Kenton, Tennessee; the son of the late Willie Mac and Alice Johnson Wilson. He retired from Superior Fire Places Manufacturing in Union City, Tennessee. Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Margie Wilson; one son, James Lynn Wilson and wife Betty; two grandchildren, Candace Smothers and husband Mark, James Lynn Wilson, II; one great-grandchild James Lynn Wilson, III; one brother, Bonney Wilson; and three sisters, Helen James, Joyce Maby, and Maxine Holcomb. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, April 26 at Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Kenton, and from 9:00 a.m. til service time, April 27 at the First Baptist Church in Kenton.
