James Reed

Mr. James Carthal Reed, age 93 of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on May 26, 2016, at home. Funeral services for Mr. James Reed will be conducted on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 2p.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Kenton with Bro. Bobby Williams officiating. Interment will follow in North Union Cemetery, in Dyer, Tennessee. He was born November 13, 1922 in Kenton, TN; the son of William Emerson and Lena Brown Reed. He was a farm laborer with Tom Wade Farms, and an Army Veteran. He served his country with the US Army. Military honors will be observed. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Lafayne Reed; four children, Robin Reed (Debra), Terry Reed (Vickie), Ricky Reed (Ann), and Pam Reed; one brother, Gene Reed; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 12:00p.m.-2:00p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2016at the Kenton Chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home.
