James Poynor

Mr. James “Jim” Willard Poynor, age 69 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Monday, April 30, 2018, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Poynor will be conducted on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. James Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery, in Dyer. He was born July 10, 1948 in Humboldt, TN; the son of the late James Merlin Poynor and Dorothy (Mercer) Poynor. He retired as a saw operator at Dyer Box. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Poynor; two children, Bobby Poynor (Janice), Lynn Poynor (Gidget); two sisters, Linda Knox, Lee Ann Poynor; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra Poynor; and his parents. The family will receive friends from 11:00-2:00 pm on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home.
