James Peevyhouse

Mr. James Elvis Peevyhouse, age 95, of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on October 2, 2014, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Graveside services for Mr. Peevyhouse will be conducted on Friday, October 3, 2014, at 2:30 p.m. at Salem Methodist Church Cemetery with Bro. Johnny Witherspoon officiating. Interment will follow. Mr. Peevyhouse was born on November 23, 1918, in Gibson County, Tennessee; the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Brant and Laura Stephenson Peevyhouse. He retired from delivering fuel for Mike Rose Oil Company. Mr. Peevyhouse is survived by children, Nadine Jackson and husband Jimmy, Wade Peevyhouse and wife Kathy; grandchildren, Wendy Jewell, Chad Jackson, Corey Pierce, and Blake Peevyhouse; also by six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Clyde Peevyhouse, Vera Patterson, and Frances Eddlemon along with his parents. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 3.
