James Nelson

Mr. James Walter "Jim" Nelson passed away from this life on March 9, 2015, at the Berean Estates Assisted Living in Conroe, Texas. Funeral service for Mr. James Walter "Jim" Nelson will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Kenton. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until service time at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery. Mr. Nelson was born on April 12, 1926, to the late Bruce Hoy and Beulah Florence Dortch Nelson. Mr. Nelson was a retired General Contractor with Construction Work. Mr. Nelson was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Fowler Nelson; brother, Herschel Nelson, and his parents. Mr. Nelson is survived by one son, Jimmy Nelson; three daughters, Diane Nelson Harris, Tami Nelson Fisher and Toni Nelson Pritchett; eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, one sister in law Mrs. Juanita Thomas.
