James Major

James Wylie Major, age 30, of Kenton, TN, passed away at his home on Saturday, May 2, 2015. He was born on December 2, 1984, in Union City, TN. He graduated from Gibson Co. High School in 2003 and attended the University of TN at Martin. James was currently employed with Healthcare Services Group, Inc. and worked at Reelfoot Manor Health and Rehabilitation in Tiptonville, TN. He leaves his mother, Jan Wylie Sims of Kenton; father, Jerry Major of Jackson, and son, James (Wylie) Major II; grandparents, Janie Dodds Wylie and the late Bob Wylie of Newbern, Mary Sue Major and the late Lucian Major of Martin, aunt Michelle Major Granner and husband, Jim of Martin, uncle Van Wylie and wife Janice of Kenton, and cousins, Matthew Granner of Martin, Justin and Jennifer Wylie and Brintlee of Dyersburg. Visitation to be held Wednesday evening, May 6th, and a celebration of his life held on Thursday, May 7, at 2:00 p.m. at Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Rutherford with burial in the Yorkville Cemetery.
