James Howell

Mr. James Horace Howell, age 72, of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away on April 18, 2013, at the Dyer Nursing Home. Funeral services for Mr. Howell will be conducted on Friday, April 19, 2013, at 12 noon in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Kenton with Dr. Brian Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Mr. Howell was born September 9, 1940, in Arkansas; the son of the late William and Ludie Overton Howell. He was self-employed as an auto mechanic before retirement. Mr. Howell is survived by daughter, Vicky (Dennis) Stout; step-children, Alecia Stewart, Don Reagan, Jerry Reagan; grandchildren, Devon (Jason) Butner; great-granddaughter Amanda Katelyn Butner; half-brother, Douglas Howell; and longtime care giver, Golden Eddlemon. He was preceded in death by his spouse Wilma Tirey Howell, parents, sister, Juanita Hendrix, and brother, Donald Hugh Howell. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. – 12 noon on Friday, April 19. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of James Horrace Howell.
