James Greene

Mr. James Michael “Mike” Greene, age 58, of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on June 10, 2013, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Greene will be conducted on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at the North Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Bro. Don Cooper and Bro. Jeff Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in North Union Cemetery of Kenton. Mike Greene was born December 20, 1954, in Gibson County; the son of the late George Martin Green and spouse Janie Sue Green and mother, Margie Nell Needham Greene. He lived his whole life as a farmer and landowner. Mike was also fire chief of Gibson County Station 5. His quick whit and sunny disposition will be missed by many. Our world is a little less bright. Mr. Mike Greene is survived by his spouse, Lynn; children, Chad Greene and his wife Kristi, Wendy Carroll, Stormi Victory and her husband Jeff, Brianne Hampton, Blair Duncan, and Tyson Greene; also by siblings, Jeri Greene, Terry Tilghman and spouse Judy, Doris Ann Davenport and spouse David; 15 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Billy Martin Greene. The family will receive friends from 4:30-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, and from 9:00 a.m. - service time on Thursday, June 13, at the North Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
