James Harold Gilliland

James Harold Gilliland was born February 25, 1944 to Jimmie J. Gilliland and Louise Dotson Gilliland.

James was preceded in death by his parents and by one sister, Betty Rickman.

James is survived by his wife of 49 years, Shelia Clark Gilliland; two sons, Chris Gilliland of Mt. Juliet, TN; Drew Gilliland (Amber); grandson, Conor James Gilliland of Lebanon, TN; siblings Frances Emerson, Laverne Parnell, Shirley Warren, OD Gilliland, Faye Sharp (Daniel), Neal Gilliland (Diane), Polly Ellis (Steve); and brother-in-law, Alvin Rickman.

James was a foreman at Brown Shoe Company for many years, and a self-employed carpenter.  He enjoyed his country life and all his horses, donkeys, and ponies.  He also loved camping and fishing.

He had a great love for his church, Dyer Church of Christ, where he served as a Deacon for many years.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, social distancing and masks are requested by the family for visitation and services.
