Irene Knox

Irene Knox May 28th, 1926 - August 3rd, 2018 Witness to the Resurrection service for Irene Knox 92, will be held Sunday, August 5, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church, USA in Dyer, Tennessee. Visitation begins at 1:00 p.m. with service to follow at 3:00 p.m. Irene, daughter of Joseph and Ruth Gladhill Knox, was born in Dyer, Tennessee, on May 28, 1926. She was preceded in death by her parents ;sisters Louise Powell, Emagene Barron, Rosemary McGill and Nancy Hooper; and by longtime friend Tom Blakemore. Irene is survived by sisters JoAnn Knox of Dyer, Helen Davis of Milan, brother Joe"Peck" Knox (Pattye) of Dyer, niece Jean Hooper Hill (Mike) of Milan, nephew Burt Hooper of Dyer, and numerous other nieces and nephews. After 40 years of service, Irene retired from Brown Shoe Company in 1988. She was an avid golfer and gardener and long time member of the First Presbyterian Church,USA in Dyer. Irene's life was most marked by her love and devotion to family. Karnes and Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Irene Knox.
