Howard Taylor

Mr. Howard Glenn “Pitt” Taylor, age 86 of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Friday, October 6, 2017, at his home. Funeral services for Mr. Taylor will be conducted on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at 4:00pm in the chapel of Kenton First Baptist Church with Bro. Brian Robertson and Bro. Wayne Perkins officiating. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery, in Kenton. He was born January 11, 1931 in Kenton, TN; the son of the late Felix Hall Taylor & Kathleen (Bell) Taylor. He retired from Tilghman Chevrolet after 47 years of service, Kenton Fire Dept. for 46 years, and Karnes & Son Funeral Home for 8 years. He served his country with the US Army, and is a Korean War Veteran. Military honors will be observed. He is survived by his wife, Broecksie (King) Taylor, whom he married on December 22, 1957; two daughters, Susan Hawks (Terone), and Laura Tyler (Tracy); six grandchildren, Jacob Stigler, Justin Stigler, John Stigler, Jordyn Stigler, Hallie Broeck Tyler, and Alex Tyler, who all called him “Papaw”; and one brother, William Taylor (Beverly). He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Beatrice Moore. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm-9:00pm on Saturday, October 7, 2017, in the chapel of Kenton First Baptist Church.
