Howard Petty

Mr. Howard Norman Petty, age 62, of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Petty will be held on Monday, August 19, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Dyer, Tennessee. Bro. Scott Jewell will officiate. Burial will be in the Yorkville Cemetery. Mr. Petty was a retired truck driver with Wheels and Wheels Trucking in Kenton, Tennessee. He was a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Petty was preceded in death by his parents, Horace Petty and Dorothy Bray; two sisters, Hazelene Vandyke, Doris Gibson, and a brother, Don Petty. Mr. Petty is survived by his wife, Cathy Petty; four sons, Howard Petty Jr., James Raymond Petty, Kenneth Petty, and Timothy Petty; one daughter, Amanda Draper; seven grandchildren, and one sister, Reba Parrish. Visitation for Mr. Petty will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2013, from 5-8 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Dyer, Tennessee.
