Howard Glynn Jewell

Howard “Buddy” Glynn Jewell, age 89 of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Graveside services for Mr. Jewell will be conducted on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at 2:00pm in Rutherford Cemetery.

He was born August 6, 1933, in Rutherford, TN; the son of the late Grover & Clara (Crockett) Jewell.  He was a crane operator with Jewell Steel Work and did maintenance work with AO Smith. He served his country with the US Army and was a veteran of the Korean War.

Buddy is survived by son, Philip Jewell (Vanessa); two grandchildren, Lauren Lewis, Lindsey Smith; and one great-grandchild, Woods Lewis. He was preceded in death by siblings, Waymon Jewell, James Jewell, John Weldon, Marjorie Lumpkin, Sue Crouse Wilson, Bub Jewell, and Marie Jewell.
