Helen Jadene Dunagan

Mrs. Helen Dunagan, age 88 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Thursday, December 12, 2019, at home. Funeral services for Mrs. Dunagan will be conducted on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. John Burroughs and Bro. John Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, in Dyer.

She was born December 2, 1931. Mrs. Dunagan was a retired store clerk at Bills Dollar Store; and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, great great grandmother. Mrs. Dunagan was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by four children, Jay Dunagan and wife Janice, Janice Smith, Tommy Dunagan, Penny Dunagan and Joel Needham; five grandchildren, Lisha Pickard, Kelly Seaton, Frankie Lovell Jr., Stacey Eells, Kristy Burkett; and sixteen great grandchildren, Chasity Campbell, Kasey Halford and Tyler Lovell, Macy & Dawson Seaton, Lucas & Adam Pickard, Jessica & Tony Dotson, Adam & Alexis Dunagan, Evan & Elaine Eells, William and Raymond Woods, and London Burkett; and four great great grandchildren, Bryson, Emery & Annastyn Halford, and Rhett Campbell; one sister Patty Penrod Hinson; and three brothers, Merl E. Penrod and wife Dorothy, Jimmie L. Penrod, and Joe E. Penrod and wife Barbara. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Dunagan; son in law, Joe Smith; one grandchild, Audrie Dunagan; and her parents.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, 2019, at the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Helen Dunagan.
