Helen Comstock

Mrs. Helen Carlene Owens Comstock, age 83, of Nebo, Tennessee, passed away on November 4, 2012, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Comstock will be conducted on Monday, November 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Dyer with Bro. Jerry Legg and Bro. DeWayne Goodgine officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery of Dyer. Mrs. Comstock was born July 8, 1929 in Nebo, Tennessee; the daughter of the late Sam and Ola Owens. She retired from Brown Shoe Company. Mrs. Comstock was a member of First Baptist Church of Dyer. Mrs. Comstock is survived by her spouse, Orval Comstock; one son, Don Comstock with spouse Debbie; one daughter Diane Comstock Dameron with spouse Larry, and one sister, Louise Lee; also two grandsons, Chad Rowland and Donald Comstock, Jr. and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, Nova Crocker, Lucille Lowrance, Mary Frances Sewell, and Dorothy Frazier; and two brothers, Hollis Owens, and Herbert Owens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, November 04, 2012. Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Dyer is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Helen Carlene Owens Comstock.
