Hazel Marie Jones

Hazel Marie Jones, age 77 of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Friday, December 24, 2021, at Tennova Jackson North Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Jones will be conducted on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 12:00pm in the Rutherford chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Jewell officiating. Interment will follow in Double Springs Cemetery, in Milan.

She was born August 27, 1944, the daughter of the late Joe Danner & Violet Marie Wilson Dowdy.  She retired from Kellwood as a seamstress and attended Beech Grove Baptist Church.  

She is survived by two sons, William Jones, Stephen Jones; siblings, Dorothy Moyers, Doris Poynor, Helen Walker; and grandchildren, Helen Jones, Ash Jones, Cody Jones, and Mali Jones. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Carl Taylor Jones; parents; siblings, Richard Dowdy, Bobby Dowdy, David Dowdy, Frances Morgan, Jane McCall; and grandson, Amador Steven Jones.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mrs. Jones name to the American Cancer Society. 

The family will receive friends from 9:30am – 12:00pm on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at the Rutherford chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Hazel Marie Jones.
