Harlan Dycus

Mr. Harlan Dycus, age 77 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Saturday, October 5, 2013, at the Med in Memphis. Funeral services for Mr. Dycus will be conducted on Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Dewayne Goodgine officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery of Dyer, Tennessee. He was born July 27, 1936, in Dyer, Tennessee; the son of the late James Peter Dycus and Mattie Mozelle Comstock Dycus. He was retired from the Dyer Box Company as a mechanic. He is survived by his wife, Lou Dycus; a daughter, Debbie Carter and spouse Frankie; one granddaughter, Codi Lynn Carter Chandler; one great-grandchild, Canin Carter Chandler; one sister, Brenda Dycus Crawford; two brothers, Bobby Dycus and Jerry Dycus. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Pansy Jo Dycus and Joyce Dycus Eddlemon. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, October 7, 2013.
