Gwynne Morris

Mrs. Gwynne Sensing Morris, age 58 of Rocky Face, Georgia, passed away from this life on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Morris will be conducted on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at 11:00am in the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

She was born November 16, 1963, in Memphis, TN; the daughter of William Cooksey & Paula Meagher Sensing.  She retired from teaching with the Knox County School System, after teaching with the Gibson County School System for 17 years. Gwynne was of the Baptist faith, attending and becoming a member at the First Baptist Church in Dalton, GA. She loved her animals, especially her horses and ponies. Her heart was full of love, and everyone around her could feel it!

She is survived by her loving husband, Greg Morris; two sons, William Clayton Morris (Emily Pinion Morris); John Michael Morris (Elizabeth Riddle Morris); parents, William and Paula Sensing; sister, Shannon Sensing Cotter (Ed); and two granddaughters, Teagan Ann Morris, and Evelyn Frances Morris.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm – 8:00pm on Friday, September 30, 2022, at the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Gwynne Sensing Morris.
