Grace Eakes

Mrs. Grace Imogene King Eakes, age 90, of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on May 11, 2015, at the Dyer Nursing Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Eakes will be conducted on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Rutherford. Bro. Randy Crews will officiate. Interment will follow in Rutherford Cemetery of Rutherford, Tennessee. Grace Eakes was born September 11, 1924, in Rutherford, Tennessee to the late Dave and Ozella Garner King. Mrs. Eakes was self-employed as a beautician before retirement. She also was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rutherford. Mrs. Eakes is survived by her husband, Billy Joe Eakes; son, Barry Hall and wife Neva Canada-Hall; daughter-in-law, Gail Hall; siblings, Emerson King, Wayne King, Larry King, Billy Joe King, and Dothory Clark; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Johnny Hall; siblings, Ralph King, Cecil King, Robert King, Leverda King Crouse, and Clarice Warren; her parents also preceded her.
