Gladys Dale Mcilwain

Mrs. Gladys Dale McIlwain, age 95 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. McIlWain will be private.

She was born July 30, 1926, in Texas; daughter of the late John Edward and Jimmy Skipper Purvis. She was a medical assistant at the Doctor’s Clinic in Trenton until her retirement. She was a member of the Dyer Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a member of the Christian Endeavor Food Pantry.

She is survived by three children, Johnny McIlwain, Sherrie McIlwain Kinton, and Beckie Jo Maxwell; grandchildren, John Corey Kinton (Kathy), Will Kinton (Melissa), Megan Langston Barnes (Chris), Melissa Langston Stafford (Josh); great grandchildren, Megan, Ziggy, John Patrick, Mary Jane Elizabeth Kinton; Zeb & Taylor Kinton; Jacob & Kendall Barnes; Payton & Logan Stafford; and one great-great grandchild, Leo Kinton. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, John William McIlwain, Sr.
