George Thomas Bearden Sr.

George Thomas Bearden Sr., age 83 of Humboldt, formerly of Rutherford, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, at Tennessee State Veterans Home Humboldt. Graveside services for Mr. Bearden Sr. will be conducted on Monday, August 26 at 11:00 AM at Rutherford Cemetery with Bro. Randy Crews officiating. Interment immediately will follow.

He was born June 14, 1936 in Ripley, TN; son of the late Lodis Bearden and the late Elizabeth (Jonas) Bearden. He retired from Goodyear as a storeroom clerk, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rutherford.

He is survived by two sons, Tommy (Christa) Bearden, Bobby (Rhonda) Bearden; siblings, Gary Bearden, David Bearden, Diane Higham; five grandchildren, Ashley (Curt) Cavender, Kim Buckley, Travis (Rachel) Bearden, Jessica (R.J.) Lewis, Jamison Bearden; two step grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and three step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Kamai Bearden; daughter, Brenda (Jimmy)Bass; siblings, Bobby Bearden, Raymond Bearden; and his parents.

Visitation with the family of George Thomas Bearden Sr. will be Sunday, August 25, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Karnes & Son Funeral Home Rutherford Chapel. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of George Thomas Bearden Sr..
