Freda Estelle Whitworth

Ms. Freda Estelle Whitworth, age 93 of Kenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services for Ms. Whitworth will be conducted on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 5:00PM at the Macedonia Baptist Church with Dr. Chad Hayes and Bro. Jason Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery.

She was born August 24, 1931, in Kenton, TN; the daughter of the late Oran Edward and Lorena Lyle Primrose Warix. She was a housewife and a homemaker.

She is survived by her daughters, Jenny Mercer (David) and Sandy Simpson (Arnold); seven grandchildren Chad Hayes, Carissa Burkett (Josh), Tiffany Simpson, Albert Simpson (Kenra), Alisha Owens (Brian), Meagan Hurley (Phillip), and Heather Scott (Chad); ten great-grandchildren Clark Hayes, Savannah Lewis, John Spence, Zoie Burkett, Drake Simpson, Avery Owens, Brady Owens, Anna Belle Hurley, Andrew Hurley, and Parker Scott; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband Orban Ray Whitworth; two daughters Vivian Whitworth and Darlene Hayes; and two brothers Charles Warix and John David Warix.

Those to serve as pallbearers are Brian Owens, Albert Simpson, Allen Permenter, Clark Hayes, Brady Owens, Josh Burkett, John Spence, Andrew Hurley, Mitchell Lewis, and Kelly Whitworth. Honorary pallbearers are Mickey Little, Donnie Little, Gaylon Childs, Jay Ray Hobbs, Cliff Bilbor, Nathan Doss, and Michael Doss.
