Evelyn Preslar

Ms. Evelyn Irene Preslar, age 91 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at Dyer Nursing Home. Funeral services for Ms. Preslar will be conducted on Saturday, June 18, 2016, at 2:00pm in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Dyer with Bro. James Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, in Dyer, Tn. She was born December 28, 1924, in Bristol, Tn.; the daughter of Clyde and Susie Gilliam. She was a factory worker for Brown Shoe Company, and attended the First Assembly of God in Dyer. She is survived by one daughter, Kay Williams Markell; one grandson, Jared Williams; stepchildren, Joe & Allison Markell, Richard & Sally Markell, and Heather Dougherty; one sister in law, Jean Moore; one brother in law, William Preslar; and nine step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.G. Preslar, and one grandson, Shane Williams. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm-7:00pm on Friday, June 17, 2016, at the Dyer Chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home.
