Emagene Barron

Mrs. Emagene Knox Barron, age 84, of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on December 19, 2012, at her home. Funeral services for Mrs. Barron will be conducted on Friday, December 21, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home of Dyer with Bro. DeWayne Goodgine and Bro. Jerry Legg officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery of Dyer. Mrs. Barron was born March 15, 1928, in Dyer, Tennessee; the daughter of the late Joe and Ruth Knox. She retired from Kellwood Company. Mrs. Barron is survived by her spouse, James C. Barron; three children, Beverley Scott and spouse, Gray, Jay Barron and spouse, Bridgett Barron, Vickie Allmon and spouse, Terry; six grandchildren, Cody Scott, Elechia Harrison, Terrina McCaig, Eric Allmon, Tabitha Cowan, Kimberly Thompson, and thirteen great-grandchildren. She also leaves four sisters, Irene Knox, Helen Davis, JoAnn Knox, Louise Powell; and brother, Joe “Peck” Knox, Jr. She was preceded in death by sisters, Nancy Hopper and Rosemary McGill. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, December 20. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Emagene Knox Barron.
