Raised in the town of Dyer, Beth’s childhood was marked by her passion for horses, a trait she would carry throughout her life. Whether riding her ponies through town or racing with friends through the fields, there was seldom a moment that she wasn’t astride. Beth was a vibrant and captivating child who grew to become a beloved young lady. Crowned homecoming queen by her high school class at Dyer High School, she was considered radiant to many who knew her.
As an alumna of Ole Miss University, Beth earned a bachelor’s degree in art, expanding her own artistic talent and creativity. During this time, she was a member of Chi Omega sorority, a devoted student, and of course a dedicated equestrian. These years of early adulthood were marked by moments that defined her nature. Whether traveling with family, fighting a bull in Mexico, or witnessing Secretariat win the Kentucky Derby, Beth pursued each and every adventure that life had to offer with utmost enthusiasm.
Beth established her career in fine art, working as a dealer for a small framing gallery in Nashville before eventually opening her own business. She was the mother of three and bestowed upon her family the passions that her life had cultivated. She gave her laughter, her dedication, her courage, her joy, and her love to her children. She raised her family in the town of Dickson, TN before returning to her home in Dyer.
Beth’s life burned brightly and after 62 years her soul has departed, embarking on the next journey and the greatest adventure of all. She will forever be remembered as the vibrant, free-spirited woman who blessed this world with her talents. She was a lover of good food, a devoted nap taker, and a woman of profound faith. She was an artist, an equestrian, an ally, and a friend, but above all else she was a cherished daughter and beloved mother. Beth is remembered with love and her life is celebrated by the family she leaves behind.
