Elbert Wayne Shanklin

Elbert Wayne Shanklin, age 75 of Trenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Shanklin will be conducted on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at 2:00pm in the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. John Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Good Hope Cemetery.

He was born February 19, 1947, in Gibson County; the son of the late Norman & Roselle Askew Shanklin. He retired from Waxler Towing Co. employed as a tugboat diesel mechanic and was a member of New Bethlehem Baptist Church. He served his country with the US Army.

He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Shanklin; son, Bradley Shanklin (Maigon); siblings, Vanessa Gray (Roger), Sherrie Ross (Bob), Larry Shanklin (Carol); and one grandson, Carter Shanklin. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Rose Shanklin.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, from 5:00 – 8:00pm at the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Elbert Wayne Shanklin.
