Funeral services for E. Maxine Witherington McDonald, 85, of Winnsboro will be held 11 am Wednesday March 27, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Albright officiating under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 – 8 pm Tuesday March 26, 2013, at the funeral home and 9 am until time of service Wednesday at the church.
A visitation will be held, March 29, 2013, at Bells Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. with graveside services to be held at 2:00 at Bells Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Dyer, Tennessee.
Mrs. McDonald was born August 24, 1927, to Roy and Zula Duck Witherington and “Mommy’o” passed from this life on March 25, 2013, in the comfort of her home.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, E. Harold McDonald, her mother Zula Witherington and a brother Louis Witherington.
Those that are left to cherish her memory are son Mike McDonald and wife Jackie; two sisters Mrs. Ruth Cooper and Ellene Cooper and husband Larry; two brothers Leroy Witherington and wife Delores, Bob Witherington and wife Sue; sister-in-law Mrs. Elaine Witherington; six grandchildren Mike B. McDonald and wife Melissa, Angela McDonald and husband J. R., Elray Prejean and wife Chantelle, Connie Matte and husband Racca, Adam McDonald, Beth Vidrine and husband Brody; and 12 great grandchildren.
We wish to give a heartfelt thank you to her wonderful care givers for the love and devotion they gave her: Mrs. Jolene Brown, Mrs. Martha Yeats, Mrs. Joyce Heath and Mrs. Wendy Yeats, as well TLC Hospice for their excellent care and concern.
