Douglas Ray Cooper

Douglas Ray Cooper, age 71 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Monday, November 14, 2022, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Cooper will be conducted on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 2:00pm in the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. John Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

He was born March 18, 1951, in Dyer, TN; the son of late father, Glynn Cooper & mother, Shirley (Halliburton) Cooper. He retired from Ermco as a test cage technician and was a member of New Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Douglas is survived by his loving wife, Janice Cooper; mother, Shirley Cooper; two children, Brian Cooper, Candice Marie Cooper Williams; siblings, Jeff Cooper, Sissy Cooper Davis; eight grandchildren, Peyton Cooper, Emily Cooper, Landon Cooper, Raven Sico, Lacey Zarecor, Harley Petty, Gauge Emery, Julie Bryant; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Glynn Cooper; daughter, Stacey Lynn Petty; and siblings, Mike Cooper, and Sherry Elliott.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm – 8:00pm on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at the Dyer chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Douglas Ray Cooper.
