Dorothy Jean Grooms

Dorothy Jean Grooms, age 68 of Trenton, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at Humboldt Nursing Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Grooms will be conducted on Saturday, August 17 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of First Pentecostal Church Humboldt with Bro. Seth Wilkerson officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, in Humboldt.

She was born September 12, 1950 in Linden, TN; daughter of the late George and Flossie Parrish. She was a retired factory employee at Wilson Sports, and member of First Pentecostal Church Humboldt.

She is survived by two children, Tammy Grooms Rose (Stephen), Alisha Grooms Britt (Bradley); siblings, James Parrish, Lonnie Parrish, Carma Gamblin, George Parrish; five grandchildren, Stephen Edward Rose, Hannah Lynn Britt, Eli Sha Dewayne Britt, Michael Dewayne Britt Julie Lynn Kilzer; and one great granddaughter, Emma Kilzer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Earl Grooms Jr.; parents; and one brother, Freddy Parrish.

Visitation with the family of Dorothy Jean Grooms will be Friday, August 16, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the First Pentecostal Church Humboldt. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Dorothy Jean Grooms.
