Doris Gearin

Mrs. Doris Evelyn Gearin, age 84, formerly of Rutherford, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2015, with her loving family around her. Funeral service for Mrs. Gearin will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home in Rutherford, Tennessee. Visitation for Mrs. Gearin will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Rutherford Cemetery. Mrs. Gearin was born on October 6, 1930, to the late Burnal Allen and Flossie Jackson Allen. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James Gearin. She was retired sewing machine operator for the Kellwood Company, and member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Gearin is survived two daughters, Carol Woods and Donald of Millington, Tn., and Janet Nicholas and Rodney of Fulton, Ky.; one son, Mike Gearin of Milan, Tn.; six grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren, and one God-daughter, Vicki Witherspoon and David.
