Deborah Diane Cook Kaley

Ms. Deborah Diane Cook Kaley, age 72 of Dyer, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Monday, July 1, 2024, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital surrounded by her family after a short illness. Funeral services for Ms. Kaley will be conducted on Friday, July 5, 2024, at 12:30 PM in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home - Dyer with Bro. Jimmy McCall officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Trenton, TN. 

She was born on May 17, 1952, to the late James Russell Goad and Ava Nelle McFarland in Humboldt, TN. She worked for 40 years at C.S. Patterson Training Center where she worked with special needs individuals and their families. In her retirement years, she enjoyed traveling, as well as being with her family, friends, and fur babies, Ellie and Jo.

She is survived by her son, Michael Cook (Roxie) of Rutherford, her daughter Christy Cook Taylor of Dyer, three grandchildren Zachary Taylor of Rutherford, Kaley Taylor of Dyer, and Kimberly Cook of Rutherford, one great granddaughter Adalynn Taylor of Dyer, her sister Dorothy (Joe) Perez of Cape Coral, FL; her niece Barbara (Jeff) Davis of Nashville, TN; a great niece Amber Davis of Gallatin, TN. She is proceeded in Death by David W. Cook and their daughter Kimberly Diane, her parents Ava Nelle and Louis McFarland, her sister Sandra (Sissy) Poynor, her grandparents Paul and Lela Caton, and uncle Thomas Caton.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 12:30 on Friday, July 5, 2024. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Deborah Diane Cook Kaley.
